USA clinches quarterfinal berth at 2012 World Mixed Doubles

With one game remaining in the round robin, Team USA has secured its place in this weekend's quarterfinals of the 2012 World Mixed Doubles Championship in Erzurum, Turkey.

Despite a loss this morning to Switzerland (8-0), the Blue Pool group champion, USA's team of Brady Clark and Cristin Clark of Lynnwood, Wash., balanced the day with an 8-3 win over Ireland to better their record to 6-1 at the Milli Piyango Curling Hall.

The Americans will conclude its round robin portion of the 2012 World Mixed Doubles on Saturday morning against the Czech Republic (3-4). This game will be featured live on the webtream at http://www.youtube.com/WorldCurlingTV. Team USA will find out its quarterfinal ranking and opponent after the conclusion of the round robin. The playoffs get underway at 8 a.m. (local time) Sunday.
