Tyler George rink moves on to the men's final in Green Bay

February 15, 2013
Much like on the women's side, a new men's team will wear USA on their jackets at the world championships as the Page playoffs got underway this morning at the 2013 USA Curling National Championships presented by Brooms Up Curling Supplies.

Minnesota's Tyler George led his team to a 6-4 win over two-time Olympian John Shuster (Duluth, Minn.) in the men's Page playoff 1-2 game. Today's victory moves the George rink into tomorrow afternoon's gold-medal final at the Resch Olympic Pavilion at Cornerstone Community Ice Rink.

With the win, George (Duluth, Minn.) and teammates Chris Plys (Duluth, Minn.), Rich Ruohonen (Minneapolis, Minn.) and Colin Hufman (Seattle) also secured a spot in the upcoming 2014 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
