Two tiebreaker games on tap tonight at Mixed Doubles Championship

December 8, 2012
Two tiebreaker games will be played tonight to determine the final two quarterfinal teams at the 2013 USA Curling Mixed Doubles National Championship at the Capital Curling Club.

Andy Jukich (Duluth, Minn.) and Tina Kelly (Bemidji, Minn.) shut out Barry Ivy (Livermore, Calif.) and Britt Rjanikov (Wayland, Mass.) 7-0 to go from on the brink of playoff elimination to the top seed in Pool C, which advances them to tomorrow morning's quarterfinals as the overall No. 3 seed. Ivy and Rjanikov will play Mike Floerchinger (Princeton, Minn.) and Kim Wapola (St. Paul, Minn.) in a tiebreaker at 8 tonight.

In the other tiebreaker game, defending champions Brady and Cristin Clark (both of Lynnwood, Wash.) will play Colorado's Darrick Kizlyk and Dena Rosenberry. The winners of the tiebreakers will complete the field of six teams advancing.
