Alaska set to host 2013 Senior Nationals

January 22, 2013
A lack of daylight hours and subzero temperatures won't damper the beautiful backdrop of Fairbanks, Alaska, for 25 teams as the 2013 USA Curling Senior National Championships get underway this week at the six-sheet Fairbanks Curling Club.

This is the first time Fairbanks will host the senior championships, which begin Wednesday night for the men and Thursday morning for the women's teams. The club last hosted a national event in 2011 when 20 junior teams traveled north to The Last Frontier.
