2012 Junior Nationals get underway this weekend

Twenty of the top junior teams from across the United States will converge in Madison, Wis., as the 2012 USA Curling Junior National Championships get underway this weekend at the Madison Curling Club.

The 10 men's and 10 women's teams will compete in a round robin with the top four teams on each side advancing to the playoffs. The winning teams will represent the U.S. at the 2012 World Junior Championships March 3-11 in Oestersund, Sweden. The opening ceremonies for the 2012 Junior Nationals will take place at 4 p.m. CT Saturday followed by the first round of competition at 8 a.m. Sunday.
