The 2013 Winter World University Games (WUGs) will take place Dec. 11-21, 2013, in Trentino, Italy.

USA Curling's Trials for the 2013 WUGs will be hosted by the Four Seasons Curling Club at Fogarty Arena in Blaine, Minn., May 1-5, 2013. The registration deadline is Feb. 28, 2013. Entry fees will be $400 per team. An early registration discount of $10 per individual will be available through Feb. 14, 2013. Sign up here.

The USCA Trials will be in two parts - Qualifiers and Trials. Two teams will be selected by the High Performance Program for the Trials and two teams will come from open qualifiers, making the Trials a 4-team event replicating the U.S. Olympic Team Trials. The format for the Trials qualifiers depends on the number of entries. The Qualifiers (if required) will take place at the Four Seasons Curling Club in Blaine, Minn., from approximately April 12-14, 2013. As soon as possible after the sign-up deadline, teams will be notified of the specific format, and the beginning and ending dates for the qualifiers. Event eligibility information can be found here.

Full details on the WUGs process are located in the 2012-13 USCA Rules of Curling & Competition, which is posted online at www.usacurl.org/curlingrocks.

The winners of the Trials will be nominated as Team USA for the event, subject to the USA qualifying for these championships.
