USA ladies finish 5th, men 14th at 2012 World Seniors

Pam Oleinik and the U.S. ladies finished 5th and Ian Journeaux and the U.S. men finished 14th at the 2012 World Senior Championships April 14-21 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

2014 Olympic qualifying points update

The top 7 nations in points standings at the conclusion of the 2013 World Championships automatically qualify for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. The eighth team is Russia, which earns an automatic berth as host. The final two nations will be determined at the World Curling Federation's challenge event Dec. 11-14, 2013 (site TBA).

2013 Winter World University Games site, dates moved

The 2013 Winter World University Games will now be staged Dec. 11-21, 2013, in Trentino, Italy, due to Slovenia's financial situation. USA Curling will now move forward with determining the playdown format to determine Team USA.
