Feb 07 U.S. Paralympics unveils regional competitions for 2014

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — U.S. Paralympics, a division of the United States Olympic Committee, today announced that 13 regional competitions will take place this spring and summer to offer increased competitive sport opportunities for Paralympic eligible athletes, including disabled veterans and disabled members of the U.S. Armed Forces. Action at the first competition, the Empire State Games, in Lake Placid, N.Y., started this week while the final competition, Excel Games in Cleveland, concludes June 14.

The 13 regional competitions will take place across the country spanning from February through June. Each competition features a mix of sports including archery, cycling, powerlifting, rowing, shooting, swimming, table tennis, triathlon and track and field.

Competition registration is completed through each local organizing committee.
