Lisa Banta has competed on the world stage for quite some time and is no stranger to success. After winning a silver medal at the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens, Banta helped her team take the top spot on the podium in Beijing.

In December 2001, Banta participated in the Olympic Torch Relay for the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Utah. Then in October 2002, she appeared in Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd."

Banta currently works as a health and wellness coordinator for The Southern Arizona Association for the Visually Impaired and she is engaged.
