An International Olympic Committee initiative -- officially recognized each year on June 23 -- Olympic Day commemorates the birth of the modern Olympic Games on June 23, 1894, and helps spread the Olympic ideals to all corners of the globe. This year there will be 715 events in the U.S. alone, covering more than 550 cities.

In this video, Olympians Julie Chu, Caydee Denney and Curt Tomasevicz, along with Paralympian Ralph Green and Olympic hopeful John Coughlin share their experiences in each of their sports and teach viewers about the three Olympic Day pillars of move, learn, and discover.
